As popular campgrounds reopen from construction closures, we will post information about reservation openings here

Setting a park construction schedule can sometimes feel like predicting the weather. Rain and delays are always likely.

But here is a little sunshine. We tend to build in a buffer for campground closures so when we reopen reservations either due to a delay in construction or completion, it might just be your lucky day to snap up a sweet site.

Visitors can check this page to see campground reservations that were recently reopened.

Recently reopened reservations:

Sunset Bay State Park: The campground reopened campsites from April 14 through summer 2025. Visitors can make reservations online for those dates now. The construction closure will now begin in fall 2025.

Champoeg State Heritage Area: B-Loop campsites were reopened for dates in April through July 2025 due to a construction delay. Visitors can make reservations online for those dates now. The park will likely close B Loop in fall 2025 for construction.

Cape Lookout State Park: All reservable campsites sites in A, B, C and D loops as well as deluxe cabins and yurts were reopened for Spring dates due to a construction delay. The sites will be reservable online for stays in March 1 through summer 2025. The park will close in fall 2025 for construction.
