Starting May 22, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is offering digital 12-month parking permits. For the same price as a physical parking permit – $60 for in-state residents and $75 for out-of-state residents – you can always have your parking permit with you.
Quick facts about the digital annual parking permit
If you’ve already purchased a physical 12-month parking permit, it is still valid until it expires. You cannot exchange a physical permit for a digital one.
There are over 150 parks that do not require a parking permit to visit. Read more about daily and annual parking permits and see where they are required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why digital parking permits?
Physical permits are great, but they can be lost, damaged or just left at home. Digital permits means you have one less thing to remember when you visit state parks.
How do I add a license plate to my digital permit?
You can add up to two license plates to your digital permit when you first buy it. If you need to add, remove, or change one of those license plates after purchase, you will need to call the Reserve America call center at 1-800-452-5687. The call center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST.
Note: only include full-sized, horizontal letters and numbers, not the small letters shown on specialty license plates.
Do I need to print or scan anything with a digital permit when I get to a park?
Nope, you’re all set! Your registered license plate number is proof that you have a parking permit.
Can I buy a digital permit as a gift?
Not at this time. You can purchase digital gift cards instead.
