Maintenance Host

Luckiamute Landing State Natural Area

Needed From December 1, 2020
Needed To December 31, 2020

If you enjoy a farm-like experience and living in a State Park Natural Area, this position may be for you.  This position requires the operation of a tractor to perform various duties such as, mowing fields and entrance roads, loading and unloading materials (forks), and mowing areas near hiking trails.   You will also be responsible for maintaining a small collection of gas powered landscaping equipment and covering days off for our Day Use hosts.   Other duties may include occasional projects related to wood working or other types of trades.

The host site is located near the shopyard at a quiet and low key district office surrounded by the Luckiamute State Natural Area and neighboring farms. Hunting is allowed during hunting season in the natural area and a few times a year it can get noisey during harvest season.  We are located between the small towns of Albany and Independence.

Please call or email for questions.

Some parks are open for day-use and camping, with reduced services. Check the Park Status Map and FAQ for details. Campfire restrictions may be in place.
