Needed To July 31, 2020

The Welcome Center Host(s) at Honeyman State Park will provide customer service to our diverse park visitors through the sale of items such as annual passes, souvenirs, firewood and bicycle rentals. Welcome Center hosts also provide information and answer questions about the park and local, regional, or state attractions. The position requires operation of a point of sale or tablet based check-out system and reconciling funds at the end of the shift. This specific is a 'relief' position that covers days off of other Welcome Center hosts, shifts may vary in hours and includes additional duties of running the garbage and recycling center, maintaining hiker/biker camp and the possibility of assisting with boat rentals at the historic Cleowox Lodge. Customer service experience is a plus and welcoming, inclusive and positive attitudes are required!

Honeyman State Park is the second largest OPRD campground (by number of campsites) and is located just south of Florence on the central Oregon coast surrounded by beautiful dunes, coastal forests, the Siuslaw River and many fresh water lakes; all full of wonderful recreational opportunities. Honeyman is also within 15 minutes of 2 large chain grocery stores and many nice restaurants in Old Town Florence on Bay Street.

Please contact the host coordinator if you have any questions about the position; we look forward to hearing from you!

Some parks are open for day-use and camping, with reduced services. Check the Park Status Map and FAQ for details. Campfire restrictions may be in place.
