The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department welcomes partnerships with community organizations, businesses, schools and civic groups. Together we strive to protect Oregon’s special places and create positive experiences for all our park visitors.

Adopt-a-Park

Individuals and groups can adopt a wayside, park, trail, disc golf course or other park area. As an official adopter, your group will work with the park manager to develop, maintain and enhance that park’s special features. We’ll recognize your service with a special sign on location.

If you are interested in pursuing this option, please complete an Adopt-a-Park interest form. And send it in to the park or location you are interested Adopting.

Be a Friend

Cooperative Associations—also known as Friends Groups—are nonprofit organizations that help individual parks by raising money, operating small stores or museums, conducting interpretive programs, planning special events and much more. These groups vary widely in size and membership, but all share a special commitment to their favorite park.

Friends also raise funds for park projects, historical renovations and building new park facilities. Each group's nonprofit status allow them to sell memberships, write grants, receive qualified donations and donated materials.

To find out more about any group's volunteer opportunities and current projects, please contact them directly using the information provided below.
