What’s In a Name?

We use the terms “rustic” and “deluxe” to distinguish between simpler units (rustic) and larger, more elaborate units (deluxe). Probably the most important difference is that in all cases, “deluxe” units have kitchen facilities, a bathroom/shower. Rustic Cabins

  • Can be one (sleeps 4-5) or two rooms (5-6)
  • Locking door
  • Beds: some combination of bunk beds, futon couch or double bed
  • Table and chairs
  • Electricity
  • Heat
  • Lights
  • Covered porch and bench
  • Outdoor fire pit and picnic table

Deluxe Cabins: All the above and more—kitchen, bathroom, showers. Jasper Point (at Prineville Reservoir has one 10' by 20', pet friendly deluxe cabin without a shower. Maximum occupancy three.)

Things to Know

  • Restrooms and showers are only a short walk away.
  • Available year-round.
  • Pets allowed inside pet friendly yurts and cabins only (see below)
  • Check-in time is 4 p.m. Check-out time is 1 p.m.
  • No smoking in any yurt, cabin or tepee.
  • You must be 18 or older to rent these units.

About Pets

No pets, except in designated units.

Some campgrounds have pet friendly” cabins or yurts. “Pets” are defined as dogs or cats, and are limited to two per unit. To help us keep these “pet friendly” units open, OPRD charges $10 per night nonrefundable (the $10 fee is refundable when you don't bring a pet.) to help us cover extra cleaning and wear-and-tear type costs.

Online reservations are available. To book your stay,  go to Find a Park and search on Yurts-Cabins, Pets OK under Facilities. Select the park and then select the reservation link. Or, call 1-800-452-5687, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.

Accessibility Information

ADA yurts and cabins are open to the general public for reservations. If possible, please try to reserve a non-ADA yurt or cabin, leaving the ADA facilities for campers who need them.
