Hollywood Theatre presents… Galaxy Quest at Stub Stewart State park
This 1999 action comedy is a beloved cult classic that lampoons Star Trek and geek fandom culture. It is about a group of actors from an old sci-fi TV show (a thinly veiled parody of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Original Series) who are whisked away by an alien civilization under threat who mistook the TV broadcasts as real history. The actors are then forced to set aside their egos and differences to survive!
The film will be screened at the Hilltop Day Use Area (after entering the park, follow the event signs). No parking fee is required. Children and pets are welcome, though all pets must be on a physical leash and under control. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages. Alcoholic beverages are permitted for those 21 and over, please drink responsibly. Overflow parking is available at the Clayhill Horse Staging Area.
