First Day Hike: Snowshoeing the Nature Trail

Emigrant Springs State Heritage Area Community Building Parking Lot

None scheduled

Come start the New Year with us as we snowshoe through our beautiful Nature Trail to check out the Blue Mountains at their wintery best and learn a little local history along the way! This event will be led by an Emigrant Springs Park Ranger, and we will have a limited amount of snowshoes available to lend for people of all levels of comfort on the snow. This trail is 2 miles through woods and fields through and around our beautiful park, so be sure to bring appropriate winter attire such as boots, jackets, warm headgear, etc. You must be able to properly wear snowshoes and carry a trekking pole in each hand.

Please meet us at the Community Building parking lot at 10:00 am. To get there after you enter the park, turn to the left, then follow the road up the hill to the right in the Community Building parking lot. This event will last approximately two hours.
