Join Ranger Nathan - rain, sun or winter storm - for a two-mile round trip walk through the forest, along the bay and airport runway and through the campground for some nice bay views, forest exploration, natural history and hopefully a little wildlife! The hike is through easy terrain on a paved trail with very little elevation gain. Nathan highly recommends you bring water, snacks, a raincoat, backpack for your items, weather-appropriate footwear and a hat and gloves. Park staff will arrive at 9:45 a.m. for the 10:00 o’clock event, and depart at 10:05 after a five-minute briefing.There may even be post-hike cocoa available if everyone is on time!
Day-use parking fees are waived for January 1st.
