The Cycle of Salmon

Come and explore the life cycle of salmon on this walk down the Dog Creek trail! Walk and learn about how salmon lay their eggs, how eggs grow into alevin, how fry and smolt grow into a adults in the ocean, and then return again to repeat this wonderful cycle of life. The walk will pass through the Clackamas Fish Hatchery, where you can learn more about raising young salmon and maintaining healthy salmon populations, and maybe even see an adult salmon on their climb up the fish ladder!

Please bring appropriate shoes, clothing for any weather, and water for each participant’s comfort and safety.
