Join park staff and volunteers for a guided three mile hike in the beautiful woods of L.L. Stub Stewart State Park! Ring in the new year right with a healthy dose of the great outdoors. The hiking route will be a loop connecting several different trails including Boomscooter Trail, Unfit Settlement Trail, Peavey Hook Bridleway, and Lasso Loop. There is moderate elevation gain in certain sections, and the trail surface is primarily compacted dirt. Waterproof hiking boots or shoes are advised, since the trails may be wet and muddy in January.
Pets are welcome to join, but must be on a leash no more than 6 ft. long. Young children must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet at the Hilltop Day-Use Area Picnic Shelter at 10am to participate! Parking spots in the main lot are limited so it is advised to arrive early. Overflow parking is available at Clayhill Horse Staging Area. All vehicles must display a valid Oregon State Parks day use pass or overnight camping pass. Day use passes are available for $10 on site at the Hilltop kiosk.
