OPRD proposes to change hunting within the Cottonwood Canyon hunting boundary to better reflect our Cooperative Management Agreement with the BLM as well as to add an increased safety buffer to several areas of the park. (see map for detailed location) The Cottonwood Canyon area is highly used by park visitors accessing the trails and restroom facility.

Per Park Resources rule, OAR 736-010-0055,10.D., “…Proposed zones will be posted on the department website for a minimum of 30 days prior to the effective date.”

This map is available through 5 p.m., April 5 for the public to preview. If you have any questions, please send an email to Helena.Kesch@oprd.oregon.gov.
