Maintenance Host

Collier Memorial State Park

Collier Memorial State Park is seeking a Park Host to help support maintenance within the Logging Museum and Day-Use areas.  Please note this is a new position for the park, and interested parties will be interviewed prior to onboarding. 

Host Site Location:

Collier Memorial State Park

46000 Hwy 97 N

Chiloquin, OR 97624

Host site has 20/30amp power, water, and sewer. 

Host Assignment: Maintenance Host

Dates Needed: ASAP through February 28, 2022 (extension may be possible)

Host Assignment Description: Open/Close Logging museum gate (8am & 4pm), use back-pack blower to maintain day-use parking areas, trails, and roads.  Assist with snow removal. General maintenance as requested by Rangers. 

Schedule: Wednesday-Thursday off

Requirements: Must pass DMV and background check, complete all safety modules and provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.

Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is directed to follow Executive Order 21-29 COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement for State Executive Branch. All park hosts volunteers and other volunteer roles will be required to meet vaccination verification as stated in this order when engaging in volunteer service on or after October 18, 2021.

Bonuses: Laundry facility onsite, fun staff to work with, be essential in wildfire recovery efforts, play (work?) with fun logging museum artifacts, and enjoy the winter wonderland of Crater Lake National Park in Collier Park’s backyard!
