Shore Acres State Park in Coos Bay, OR
100 Volunteer Projects for 100 Years! Celebrate Oregon State Parks Centennial and participate in the legacy of service that has sustained the state parks system for a century.
Service Event: To get ready for State Parks day on June 4th and Rose Sunday on June 19th, the Rangers of Shore Acres will be holding a big clean up and beautification party for the botanical gardens at Shore Acres State Park. There will be something for everyone to help out with: weeding, trimming, mowing, mulching, panting, staining, litter picking, and pulling the invasive English ivy. Lend a hand and help get the park ready for a fantastic summer!
What to Expect: Participants should be prepared to travel a short distance on uneven ground at the service site. Service will take place outdoors, and volunteers should be comfortable wearing work gloves and using hand tools.
Registration for this volunteer event will close on 5/26/22.
