Join Ranger Erin for a beautiful hike to start the new year. We will stroll through the Crooked River Wetlands and then hike up the Rim Trail, where you will get a stunning view of Mt. Jefferson and the 3 Sisters. We will talk about some of The Cove’s fascinating geologic history and see if we can spot any winter wildlife out and about. Refreshments will be served at the overlook. Trails are easy to moderate.

What to wear!
Dress for the weather (sun or snow). Bring hiking boots or shoes that may get wet. Some visitors bring a walking stick if we have snow. Sunglasses may be appropriate. Cameras are optional.
Accessibility Considerations – May not be suitable for people with breathing difficulties, trouble with uneven terrain or strollers. Restrooms will be located in the parking lot and in campground.
Well behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.

Jordan Road can be snowy or icy in January so please carefully.
Staff will arrive in the Crooked River Campground parking lot at 9:45, the hike will take off at 10:00 am, so please respect others and be on time (if you are 10-15 minutes late, start on the wetlands loop and you should be able to catch up).
