Site Information: Paved pad, 30 or 50-amp power, water and sewer provided. Picnic table and fire pit at site.

Length of Assignment: 1-3 months, new hosts may only be offered a one-month assignment. 

Daily Expectation of Hours: 4-6 daily depending on workload

General Responsibilities:

·         Respond to visitor, staff, and volunteer requests in an attentive and respectful manner.

·         Provide light restroom maintenance, including restocking supplies, staff does a deeper clean.

·         Operate and maintain small powered equipment.

·         Clean-up and debris removal.

·         Alert staff to safety issues, facility issues, and major cleaning needs.

·         Operate utility vehicles (golf carts, gators, etc.) providing general site maintenance, including cleaning out fire pits, light landscaping, and sweeping.

·         Support park operations by serving in the small visitor center in the campground where you can expect to answer questions, assist with daily bike rentals, give out park brochures, maps, event information, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

·         Working with the Friends of Old Fort Stevens to provide mobile firewood sales to campers.

Operate utility vehicles (gators/golf carts) selling and delivering firewood to campsites.

Support and sell firewood through operation of small change fund.

Be responsible for inventory and end of shift reports when operating mobile wood sales carts.

Organize, inventory, and maintain cleanliness of woodbins and shared spaces.

Provide screening of park visitors entering the campground.

Aid park staff by recording license plate numbers of incoming reservation holders on issued paperwork.
